I can't draw.
I mean, physically, I can put marks on a page, but I can't draw in the traditional sense, making a picture on paper that resembles something recognisable.
I can create, however, and I do this in all kinds of ways.
Sometimes, I take pictures with my DSLR camera, sometimes I make paper collages, sometimes I create Digital Art.
I spend a lot of time creating and editing in Photoshop and I also use AI and clipart throughout my process.
I used to do a lot of acrylic painting but I don't do as much anymore. It's something I'd love to get back into but it's difficult to find a balance between 'non-work related things I enjoy' and 'work related things'
I'm super lucky to be able to work from home, to do something I love everyday, but it's not without it's struggles.
Sometimes I feel super guilty that I don't draw the designs I use, from scratch, but then I realise how many other creative things I do to get to the final pieces.
It's so easy to compare yourself to others and tell yourself you aren't good enough. But stop it. Just quit it.
The only person you need to compare yourself to is your past self.
